Biography

Dr. Nancy Zgheib currently holds the position of Head of the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). She has extensive experience in teaching and research within the field of chemical engineering, she brings valuable expertise in polymer processes, innovative materials, and biomass valorization.

She has also served as a researcher for various chemical industries, specializing in the development of personal care and cosmetic products as well as disinfectants, detergents, and soaps. Her specific expertise lies in the development of personal care products, including skin care and hair care, with a focus on emerging trends and breakthrough ingredient technologies.

Throughout her career, she has worked as a lead researcher on projects funded by organizations such as USAID and private companies. Notably, she has contributed to projects involving the development of sulfate-free shampoo, process optimization for personal care manufacturing plants, and the formulation of a wide range of cosmetic products, including creams, lotions, shampoos, and disinfectants. She has also provided consultancy services to companies such as Mitchell Cosmetics and Dawn and is currently finalizing a successful research and development project funded by the EBRD as part of the Innovation Programme.
